Axe Making and Blacksmithing Classes
Axe Making Classes:
Are you looking to make your own outdoor tools? Our axe making classes are a great way to spend the day in our shop. Here’s what you need to know:
The cost per class is $400 plus GST per person for a standard class.
We provide Lunch, Refreshments and Safety Equipment. Please make sure to wear natural fibre clothing, shoes that cover your feet, and full length pants
Classes are one full day starting at 8:30 am.
Our minimum age is 18, as the tools used in this class are intended for adults only. Please call 403-598-5256 with questions regarding attendee age.
We take up to 4 people per day for Axe making.
We do take a $100 per person non-refundable deposit for classes, and the rest can be paid on the day of your class. Due to an increased rate of no-shows, appointments WILL NOT be held without a deposit. If you have to cancel a class, your deposit will either be held for another class, or be issued as a gift certificate to be used for future purchases.

Blacksmithing Classes:
Maybe you’re looking to learn some new skills, but you’re not looking to make a knife or an axe? We now offer half day morning blacksmithing classes also! Come spend a morning at the shop learning about metallurgy, how to properly heat steel, and how to manipulate it.
The cost for these classes is $200 plus GST.
Each class attendee will learn to make two small projects (hooks, firepokers, steak flippers etc, are all pretty common) to take home with them.
Refreshments are included for the morning class.
Minimum attendee age is 13, and all attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
We take up to 4 people per class.

Evening Blacksmithing Demos:
We have had some requests for evening workshops, so we'll be offering 2 hour blacksmithing demos for folks to come in and learn about the tools, and try their hand at a little blacksmithing. We'll charge $45 per person for demos, and each person will take home a small item that they helped to make. These demos are perfect for youth groups, homeschool groups, or a shorter team building event. Please call to book a time.
